1977 has a hand throttle, right?
If it's been sitting a while, I'd dial up the idle knob in the dash to
compensate, and then after a few dozen Italian tuneups, a filter change and
valve adjust I'd look into raising the base idle at the IP if it's still a bit
slow with the dash throttle at minimum.
