I have spent a lot of time outdoors and now, in my 70s, there
are crusty little pre-cancerous bits popping up on my face, hands,
and ears. A specialist uses liquid nitrogen to burn them off
periodically. The skin gets thinner and more delicate.
I guess if you are lucky you die of something else first. My
wife's uncle, a surf fisherman, was so badly badly eaten up she said
toward the end it was difficult to look at him.
