Also to pump some oil back onto the bearings, cylinders, etc. My Generac cranks itself and runs for 12 minutes every week for a self test and oil bath. Despite the cost, propane is the way to go for a standby generator because you need to store a lot of it (hopefully) for a long time. Of course if you have reliable natural gas, that eliminates the storage problem at less cost. -----Original Message----- From: mercedes-boun...@okiebenz.com [mailto:mercedes-boun...@okiebenz.com] On Behalf Of Jim Cathey Sent: Tuesday, May 08, 2012 1:11 AM To: Mercedes Discussion List Subject: Re: [MBZ] (SPAM?) Runs OK, but I haven't started it in probably four years. It's propane, so that's OK. I roll it over with the starter a few times a year just to make sure it'll go if I need it to. The power feed is now centralized, but I did _not_ get my manual cutoff switch, and so I still need two generators. The rust pictures and such are all still there: http://userweb.windwireless.net/~jimc/genset.html -- Jim _______________________________________ http://www.okiebenz.com For new and used parts go to www.okiebenz.com To search list archives http://www.okiebenz.com/archive/ To Unsubscribe or change delivery options go to: http://mail.okiebenz.com/mailman/listinfo/mercedes_okiebenz.com _______________________________________ http://www.okiebenz.com For new and used parts go to www.okiebenz.com To search list archives http://www.okiebenz.com/archive/ To Unsubscribe or change delivery options go to: http://mail.okiebenz.com/mailman/listinfo/mercedes_okiebenz.com
