if it's safe to ASSuME that *everything* about the car is in proper order, there's probably nothing harmful about running it at a mere 80MPH. (remember; these things were born in the land of the Autobahn.)

ours sees that pretty much on every commute day on its way to occasional triple-digits, and averages 80'ish or better for hours on end while on longer trips. (wife put a couple-hundred miles on it again yesterday, and commented about how it doesn't seem like anything at all for it to run 80+.)

cheers!

Hello All,

I do a lot of freeway driving and I am wondering if I am being hard on my
car by driving it at 80mph? It doesn't knock or sound bad. Just thinking it
might be more prudent somehow to go slower.

thanks,
