Last time I tried to do that, an A/C shop wouldn't even look at it and a hydraulic shop (this is farm country, so plenty of good hydraulic guys) told me that nobody would do it because of liability (due to flammability of 134a?). They'll make custom motorcycle brake lines all day long, though... go figure.
