I have the standard relays that are used in the MB. Those that I used in the version that I drew up. That's why I drew it like that. I thought that Craig was going to use the same relays that's why I asked about it cause I was beating my head against the wall and still couldn't figure out how he did it with three SPDT relays. I didn't know from the schematic if that was one wild relay that had that required configuration or the two DPDT and one SPST. The relays I have are headlight relays so they will definitely be strong enough to do the trailer lights.

Will have to keep my eyes open for one of those little Bosh wiring books. I have one on general automotive systems by Bosch which is really interesting. Has all kinds of info on fuel injection, brakes and so on.

Those relays can be any DPDT (double-pole, double-throw; or
2-form-C) relays. Well, the one could be a SPDT (single-pole,
double-throw; or form-C), but the other two need to be DPDT.

For tail/brake lights, I would use no less than contacts rated
for 5 amp. 10 amp would be my preferred minimum.

Does that help?

If you let us know what relays you have now, we could let you
know the suitability of those relays.
