Being a '74 I am not sure if it does have catalyst.  This car seems to have 
been put together right on the cusp of upgrades and changes from 1973 to full 
1974.  Has some of the older systems and some of the newer, as if they used 
what was left over on the line and had not been upgraded to new inventory.

It does get hot and the hood pad will need updating.  Some of the plastic and 
rubber parts are worn.  If vacuum under the hood is going, may as well get it 
fixed, as there are vac issues elsewhere (locks and climate)
