I would think so but have not done a master cylinder since I've had my
pressure bleeder.  As I recall the master cylinder is supposed to be
level when you bench bleed it to ensure that all the air gets purged.
So if you're doing it with a pressure bleeder and the MC installed in
the car, you might need to raise the rear of the car to get the MC
level.
