Coupla days ago, when trying to find new battery for SDL, I was put on hold for 20 min; finally hung up and dialed again; same woman asked, "May I help you?" Told her I'd been on hold for 20 min; looking for GRP 49 battery, etc. She seemed reluctant to check but did; one on shelf on sales floor, and I told her I'd be there in about 30 min with old battery. Got there and waited about 35 to 40 min while clerk took service info from 2 in front of me and fiddled with computer. 'Finally told her, "All I want is a 'Gold' battery; If you'll tell me where it is, I'll get it and roll it here on my walker." Second lady came in from lunch; 'could tell by her voice she was the lady I had spoken to on phone. 'Told her I was there for battery we had discussed on phone. She and a guy from back went out to get new battery. I showed her old battery sitting on counter and told her, "Here's the receipt for it." She looked at little round sticker on end of battery (10/08), fiddled with her computer and said, "You'll get $18.79 adjustment." I replied, "I think it should be a lot more than that; you have the receipt for it dated 26 May 09. You gonna use the date I bought it or the date the factory stuck on it?" "Oh, yeah," she said, "Here it is - 26 May 09." She fiddled with computer some more and said, "That'll be $89 adjustment." "More like it," I replied. 'Finally got new battery and got the hell out of there. First lady was still fiddling with computer trying to get 2 service orders entered.

Good service? At Sears? Are you on drugs or have you not been in a Sears in the last 30 years?

The only reason I'd ever go to one is if somebody got me a gift card, then I'd ask them to not get me a gift card there again...

You should shop at Sears. Good service, decent prices, and the Diehard
batteries last a long time.
