I know from bitter bitter experience that running a 617 in an '81 300TD with no thermostat WILL make the car overheat. The interesting thing is that it'll go for a good 20 minutes from a cold start (a Marshall cold start, 8 hours or more) but if you shut it off and restart it it'll overheat rapidly. Wierd, just wierd. The only explanation I can come up with is that when the coolant is all the same temp the radiator will draw warming coolant from the engine. When its warm and the coolant stratifies that doesn't happen any more. -Curt Date: Thu, 29 Dec 2005 20:08:30 -0600 From: "Rick Knoble" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subject: Re: [MBZ] SOS - '87 190Dt Overheat! -update To: "Mercedes Discussion List" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Message-ID: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1"
