They plug it from the INSIDE then put a patch over the plug, That will hold up fine. You should deal with it, those screws will eventually work out or through and leave you with a flat at the most inopportune time or place.

Kaleb is correct, you do not want to have the hole merely plugged. That
will leave you a slow leak that will get very annoying.
