Yes...that's how mine was set up. So, I went ahead and made a double ought cable and ran it from the negative battery post to the Allen bolt holding the starter on. Then I got beneath the car and cleaned up the cable going from the transmission to the chassis. The replacement starter has now lasted 2 weeks. Hopefully, this did the trick.
