Sears started selling the substandard Michelins years ago, it soon became
obvious, so I moved to Tire Kingdom and bought Michelins (X-1?) that
Marshall recommended and they were fine. When X-1s were no longer available
I bought different Michelin tires from Tire Kingdom and they were awful;
less than 20K miles.
Since I've been buying tires off the internet, no more problems with tire
quality. Around here it's expensive to get them mounted and balanced; which
comes out to about the same price as buying them locally; but the tires seem
to be exactly what you order.
