I would think it would be difficult to hide the fact that a signal was detected. The dead transponder and the lack of signal point to human intervention. There was a bulletin put out by Boeing about a 777 computer vulnerability. Have any of you aviator people seen that? Is hacking the fly-by-wire capabilities of the 777 a feasibility?
