I know there are some Linux/BSD people around here, so I figure I'll ask: What's the opinion on building your own NAS using FreeNAS?
I need a newer NAS that's better than the consumer grade crap (DLink) I currently have. I'm no stranger to building my own computers or working with other operating systems, so it's well within my abilities. I'm curious as to if anyone here has built their own NAS and if so, what they used and how they went about it...
