I have managed to repair a cell phone or 2. To separate the halves of the plastic case, I used a guitar pick I had around. You slip it into the seam and locate and loosen the tabs that hold it together. To remove the small screws, a Taiwanese screwdriver set from Horrible Fright is very handy. It comes in an orange plastic box with a set of smaller than the usual 1/4" hex bits and a handle with a flexible extension. It is much better quality than most HF stuff, and has disassembled and reassembled several laptops as well as cell phones.
