well but was 10 bucks for 1 socket. Next question, how do you remove the

IIRC, the entire 3/4" set, 20 (?) sockets plus ratchet, T bar,
and extension is about $30 on sale.  Or maybe $40.  Either way,
worth having.

outer tube part to clean up the inside?

There is a little nub of a screw on the bottom.  Pliers used on
it gently ought to unscrew the bottom.
