Note that the radiator will clog first where the airflow is greatest (the deposits come out of solution there first), and if there is a big cold spot in the radiator in front of the thermostatic spring on the front of the fan clutch, it will not engage!

Another thing to look for is chopped bugs and other junk stuffed behind the aux fan in front of the condenser, to junk stuck between condenser and radiator. If hot air isn't flowing through the two heat exchangers to the clutch, it will be very slow to engage.

I was astonished at how badly plugged up the condenser was on the TE when I changed it the other year -- car runs much cooler now. Looked OK in place, but when I held it up to a light source after taking it out, at least 50% of the space between the fins was filled with junk.
