I wonder if enough photocells could be put into the windows to recharge enough to get the vehicle home and not have to call for a tow. Might be expensive and cumbersome and most people would not want to put up with that.
One rated kW of solar cells might put out 3 kWh through the workday, which should add 10-20 miles. The problem is, 200w panels are big, and there would be five of them.
