I haven't left the yard in the recent batch (ie yesterday) but I went out
Sunday on a pirate run. Had to break some trail which is always exciting
through 8" of powder. We tried to go out yesterday but the roads were so
slippery I managed to get the trailer sideways making a turn. Scared us both so
we turned around and went home. Rode around the yard a bunch. Made a run across
the neighbor's yard where I hadn't ridden before and found that while I've
gotten pretty good at handling 8-10" of powder 3 feet is a totally different
story...
Gotta go weld on the snowmobile trailer a little today, I managed to break the
trailer jack yesterday and one of the welds that holds the anti-tilt pin is
breaking. I need to turn up the heat on my welder and work on getting better
penetration which is hard when welding two different thicknesses. Might borrow
dad's stick welder in the spring, it'll put out more power than my mig.
