Dimitri's car has a working York ac compressor which complicates the job and 
doubles the time...

Its not that bad, but it helps to have the official MB hose, and the 
gasket for the thermostat housing to the block.  (Or I used to seal 
it up again with whatever was left of the gasket and permatex blue 
silicon.)  Never had one leak after...

The trick is to start the hose on the WP, then slide in the the 
thermo housing, start it on that then shove it together.  Soap  on 
the inside of the hose, or WD40 helps too.  I don't think it ever 
took me more than an hour including putting the radiator hose back on 
and clamping everything down.

I could do it in a lot less than that if it was a contest.
