That "few hundred bucks" they used to charge for washing titles in
Alabama is now close to $1,000. I know because I just checked for
someone with the guys I used to wash the 1962 300SE's title back on
2001.

Maybe there are cheaper places but I didn't see any.

Ouch is right! I shoulda got my 240D title right away when I bought
it. I looked about a year ago and it was $400-500 then. I have the
car roadworthy now except the title, and I lost the bill of sale...
