I go through lost bill of sale issues with snowmobiles a lot. I'm a klutz with 
them I guess. My dad has "sold" me every snowmobile I've ever registered. 
Interestingly this year the bill of sale didn't magically reappear just after I 
registered the machine, the other two did and immediately got corralled in the 
snowmobile stuff folder.

Ouch is right!  I shoulda got my 240D title right away when I bought 
it.  I looked about a year ago and it was $400-500 then.  I have the 
car roadworthy now except the title, and I lost the bill of sale...
