The less expensive oil comes to $0.01 per mile driven, instead of $0.24 with M1. That is around $30 between not M1 and Mobil 1 for a change if I never drove the SL at all. On a higher mileage basis, I would probably be even, doing two low cost oil changes to one M1 fill.
