Ok guys, enlighten me please. What value do you gain from an oil
analysis? If your engine is worn out, you probably know from the bad
starting and lack of power. If it has metal fragments, you would
know from the valve chatter or other noise. If you're using the
wrong oil, you should know from reading all the debates and info on
this list. So, again, what would I gain from an oil analysis?
Best Wishes,
Roger

Quantitative vs qualitative
Quantitative is viewed as "Hard science"
Qualitative is viewed as "soft Science"
Then it all gets muddied as soft science like sociology, psychology,
"gender studies" and such try to quantify their soft science; or
"climatologists" delete data that does not fit their "model" or use
known false readings because it fits their political agenda.
But an oil analysis will give you hard data that may detect changes
before your eyes and ears and experience pick up the change.
