I need to replace the little shock absorber on my car - Curly says that I have
to pull the tensioner to do it.

I’m wondering how that lower bolt that connects the shock to the tensioner is
attached? The outside (facing the water pump pulley) is the bolt head form the
looks of things, but the back side appears to be a socket head cap screw. Is
the front a nut rather than a bolt head?

It would seem that if you could loosen the bolt you might be able to move it
out enough to get the shock mount out. If not, maybe if I took the bolts out
of the water pump pulley I could do it.
