'Guess I've been lucky; changed glow plugs several times on my two 123's, 124 and 126. 'Never had a problem other than tight access to them..

Status report.

#1 has broken.

#2 loose, threads out, carbon holding it but should come out.

#3, #4 moving a little bit.

#5 out and replaced. Old plug star-marked Beru.

#6 not attempted yet.

#1 was moving, torque wrench set at 30 Nm. I was moving it slowly back and forth, getting just a little movement when it let go. Liberal use of penetrating oil, hot engine.

Monday I will call around to see if any local shop has the special tool set for drilling out the broken plug.
