We've had inspections in Maine for way longer than emissions have been a thing... The biggest challenge I had in my college years was that Maine wouldn't pass anything with a rust hole and you couldn't repair the rust with fiberglass or aluminum. I used to fiberglass over the hole and then sheet metal screw a piece of steel stovepipe over the fiberglass...


It was NH where Carl Drega got pulled over for rust holes, wasn't it?
