When running WVO in the winter when it gets below about 36 deg f I cut it with some unleaded about 20%, if its getting down into the low teens i cut up to 30% Works fine. Last winter the 300 sd with single tank started just fine without the block heater and one cycle of the glow plugs at 12 deg with a 70% WVO 30% unleaded mix.

I've found the unleaded works better than additives. My diesel truck has one tank with a diesel -WVo blend in it and the screen on the electric fuel pump is getting clogged in the cold . didn't have that problem when blending with unleaded.

Green guys,
Some of the WVO biodiesel I have been using lately has been clouding up heavily when the temps drop into the 20s. It forms an emulsion with the clouded fuel in the lower half of the container and clear bio on top. Apparently 2 different feedstocks were present in the WVO. Question: Will blending the bio with petro diesel create a solution with a lower cloud point, or merely dilute the clouded fuel and re-emulsify in the tank? Thanks,
Bruce
