The drive north from LA to Newport, OR was a fun drive in 2008 in the GayLarry '83 240D. He told us to take AmTrak to LA and we drove up to SFCAL on interstate and 101 to Newport, OR and then turned right on US20 and drove that all the way home. The 240D is not 3-pedal - I hope your TDI is 3-pedal.
