How long did it take to get to Newport via 101? That’s a heck of a drive.
Sort of like the time I was in LA and thought it would be cool to drive
the 101 all the way to SFO.

The drive north from LA to Newport, OR was a fun drive in 2008 in the
GayLarry '83 240D. He told us to take AmTrak to LA and we drove up to
SFCAL on interstate and 101 to Newport, OR and then turned right on
US20 and drove that all the way home. The 240D is not 3-pedal - I
hope your TDI is 3-pedal. Enjoy both the new TDI and the drive north
next week.
