My Jetta is white which follows in a line of 2 other white 4 cylinder manual transmission diesels, the other two were MB 240Ds. Angie's Jetta is dark blue, the pickup is silver. When I bought the pickup I kind of complained about the silver being boring, the guy told me the easiest truck to sell was white. It seems most people worry about resale value and don't want a bright color that might be hard to pass on. I don't give a hoot about resale value since when I'm done with a vehicle its used up pretty much completely. At some point I want to build a dedicated offroader, nothing outlandish but a bit larger tires, locking differential etc. I want it to be a BRIGHT color, like orange or fire engine red... -Curt

I came back to my office this afternoon after a trip to the bank. I counted 29 vehicles in the parking lot behind the building and noted that 23 of the 29 were black, grey or silver. There were a couple of dark red to burgundy and a couple of green - one dark olive and the other acqua for lack of a better choice. I think 1 white one. Cannot recall the last vehicle - might have been a 2nd white one. Do not know if this is indicative of vehicles as a whole or not. If so, we have become a drab bunch. My car was included in the grey bunch as I am driving the Honda Civic I bought from my mother. However, I have the dark red Mercedes and the ruby red F150 at home and my wife's car is blue but on the blue-grey side of blue. If I had purchased the Honda Civic new, it would not have been the slate grey color.
