On my sears driers the top tilts back, you have to undo the drive belt
by springing the tensioner underneath, then the whole drum can be lifted
out -- it has some kind of fabric sort of gasket in the front that it
moves on, and the rollers at the back, it is not fixed in there other
than by gravity.

Amazingly, I actually found the original parts list that came with the
dryer 17 years ago!

With the type info, I have fixed some of the dryers and washers at our
rental property, they have a rough life.
