Speaking of that, I check my oil regularly, and finally had to add a quart 
to the '99 E300TD, 10.5K mi into my stewardship. (It is a FSS car, bought 
from a stealership, and the FSS counter was at 9100 when I bought it. The 
counter now sits at 2100, 3.5 mos and 10.5K mi later) I don't know if its 
because the 606 is a tighter engine or if it is because it is highway 
mileage, but I'm impressed :)
