John, not to alarm you but there has been some real problems with MB and the early FSS (started in 98) system and not using Mobil 1. Sludging and engine damage resulted from these extended oil change intervals.
MB lost a lawsuit and now have extended the warranties and picked up engine repairs for these models. If it were my MB, I would be sure it has Mobil 1 in the crankcase and change it out right now.
