Yeah, I thought it was strange, too.  I figured this out when I went looking 
for the flat tube for the 300D.  My parts guy traced it down and also reminded 
me of when I bought one for the 300SD back in 1997 (is this guy good, or 
what???)

Looks like Meyle is the only one making them now in the aftermarket, at least 
that was the only one I could find.  I just like the aesthetics of the thing. 
The hard plastic tubes with the foamy coves that break down and the rubber 
elbows and clamps just look lousy.
