You should get one that goes to 11.  It would be 8 better.

Well, the 1986 gauge would still go down to 1-1.5 bar at idle, and down to
zero with the engine off.

The 1990 gauge  goes to 3 as soon as the ignition comes on and stays
there.  :)

My money is on a difference in the wiring harnesses.  :)
