When I got a lowball offer on my 300D is burst out laughing, as I'd already bought a replacement at a significantly higher amount (3x if I remember correctly).
They paid the full amount of the purchase price of the replacement, minus salvage since I kept the hulk for parts. Definitely hold out for the upper end of the value range in Kelly Blue Book or similar. Most insurance company adjusters don't understand the value holding ability of a well maintained Benz.
