Yeah, I get 17 also. But when I enter it into the MB Classic
Registration it says I have less that 17. Hmmm... I'll call them
tomorrow.

Very unlikely you need to replace the whole gp harness. If it's blowing the
fuse you have a short. Either a plug is shorted which should be easy to find,
or often times the connectors at the gp gets rotated around on the stud of the
plug and contacts the head or other metal part somewhere. It's quite common and
should be easy to swap.

In my experience with you-pull-it yards, the harness left intact. I can check
around here, two of the independent garages I know keep an assortment of
junkers to scavenge parts, one had a car like yours a few years ago.
