I think JD is running 3000 psi (constant pressure, variable flow) for a few decades. In the 70s they used 2000 or 2500 PSI CP. My IH Liftall I always thought was 1000 psi, but some documents say 800 PSI. It really does not matter because it is constant flow, variable pressure, so it only hits the pressure relief in overloaded condition.

I believe the PS is CF, VP. If so, it only hits the 110 bar when the steering is full left or full right, and you hear the oil opeing the pressure relief valve.

Thanks Max! BTW, your note reminded me that I need to look in the Black Tech Data Book to see what they say about pumps - I always forget to look at that til I am half way through my repair! It's a great little book - I wonder if they are still available? Do you have one?

I'm glad to hear the Vickers and ZF are the same! I saw my pump has 110bar on the label - Man! that thing runs under quite a bit of pressure!!

I need to get my WSM out and see what it takes to remove the Reservoir. Hopefully it's not too bad....

Larry
