That would be very cool.

Put the new seat switch in my 190D yesterday. Its so nice to have full control.
Some goomba had broken off the seatback tilt part of the switch, both switches
for that matter. I also replaced the totally shattered visor clips and the
broken to pieces plastic thing around the center vents. Then I commenced to
cleaning.
I don't have any idea what the black and brown grime everywhere in that car
is but Goo Gone which had been my secret weapon, wont touch it. Windex however
seems to melt it away. The other good tool was hot water and OxyClean. So a
couple hours of scrubbing got the driver's side acceptably clean. I haven't
even started on the passenger's side or the back seat which is totally the
wrong color from the filth...
The new seat base and pad haven't come in yet, I'd hoped to be replacing
those today but whatever.

Its interesting, I ordered a stack of parts for Rusty last Monday, so far the
only thing that came directly from him was the hood pad and that was in a box
exactly the correct size, you couldn't have used one any smaller. Mercedes has
so far sent 2 boxes, one with just the seat switch was larger than the box
Rusty sent. Heres a 2'x1'x18" box with a 2"x2"x3" seat switch inside... The
other had the seat knob (teeny), the plastic thing (not very big) and the visor
clips (also teeny) and was even bigger than the first box. Seems like they
spend as much on packing material and extra shipping because of the huge boxes
as they do on the parts...

D'OH! Ignore my previous reply... I missed the "gas" part and thought
we were talking about six-banger diesels. Valve guides and/or seals
are a common problem on the M103. Not sure how oil is getting into the
intake, except maybe via the PCV or EGR systems? How did you spot the
oil? I've got a 300E but have never removed the intake manifold...
does NOT look like a fun job.
