I think that pic was taken up in Max's neighborhood last spring or
summer. If not, there was a very similar incident with a gator on the
front porch trying to get in. Freaked out the homeowners.

I hear there are bears and coyotes in Michigan. And the deer around here are
so small if you hit one with your car it’s a non-event, like hitting a dog or
something.
You do have to watch out for the occasional armadillo, however. Those things
will mess up the underside of your car bad if you try to run over them.
