I think we've talked about my old TI before. Recently I've been watching "The 8-Bit Guy" on YouTube and it got me thinking about retro computing. My favorite game of all time is "Tunnels of Doom" on my TI but it requires data to be loaded from audio take which takes 200 seconds. I've got a floppy drive but its in a big expansion box that has to stay on the whole time the program is being used, its big and its loud and, well you get the idea. It turns out a bunch of people are making new stuff to be used with these vintage consoles so I've ordered a "TIPI" which I guess is pronounced "tee-pee". It uses a Raspberry PI as a storage device and even to connect to the internet through a telnet connection. I had to get a 32K RAM expander too, at this point I think I've probably spent as much on this project as my parents spent on the console... I'll report back when I actually get it. -Curt _______________________________________ http://www.okiebenz.com
