Bought the wife a 2005 Mazda 6 new from a local dealer. Great car, put almost 160k on the clock before we parted and it had no repairs required until it had around 120k. Then it was a couple of COPs and a vacuum leak in the plastic intake manifold.
Other than regular maintenance, I probably put less than $1000 into repairs in that car over our ownership.
