Does anyone here use the "Deer Whistles" device that you mount on front
bumper?  FLAPS most often carry them. About $10 or less. The wind through
them send out a sound that puts deer and elk on high alert and they run
away rather than toward your car.

Seem to work quite well... certainly cheap insurance, small and don't
detract from car, attach easily.
I installed a set on all the ranch vehicles after I hit a deer on a desert
road.
