So, with one of those Denon boxes, I could plug the HDMI Out from the
laptop into it, with the TV as the monitor, and be able to play music from
the laptop into speakers, without the TV monitor being on?
The only way I can get audio out of the laptop to the Sony TA-1150 amp is
by un-plugging the HDMI wire. Laptop can't seem to send audio anywhere else
while the HDMI wire is in the socket (grumble grumble . . .).
