Michelins are prone to sidewalk cracking, according to my tire guy, a former 
Michelin warranty adjuster.

Got a Costco membership? They have good deals on Michelins and Bridgestones on 
a regular basis. I put a set of Michelins on the S210 wagon last year for under 
$500 out the door, which I thought was a pretty good deal.
