Thanks for the ideas. Good info Don. I would have expected some noise
if a tc dies. I had intended to convert this car to 4sp, but given its
intended use, I've decided to leave it as auto. Now I just have to
decide what/how much to do to the used spare I have before it goes in.
B2 piston, k3 spring, I guess, but something under another $100 will pay
for new guts, if i want to take the time and $$$ to do it. I'd really
like to get sun valley to rebuild it, but can't justify the $$$$, when
$$$ will fix it.

neutral in neutral. No go inforward or back. Was running 55, pulled up
to a stop sign, no more go. no sound, no noise.
Adjustment for what? there's quite a few adjustments. modulator,
vacuum input, linkage, neutral start switch etc.
Its tired. Been tired for a long time. We've been nursing it along for
years.

Isn't there an adjustment bolt on those? I remember something about an
adjustment bolt.
Change fluid and filter.
Trans-medic, rebuild-in-a-can?
Check the shifter bushings.
Does park lock the transmission? If not, the output shaft may have
stripped off teeth.
