I’m at the stage in the construction of my garage (year 6) where I need doors.
It’s a timber frame barn style so aesthetics matter and as such I’m interested
in installing wooden doors but insulated wooden doors are prohibitively
expensive, as in $6000-$8000 per door. I found this company that makes
affordable traditional wooden doors without insulation. Actually they can add
1/2 inch on the inside but that’s probably not very effective.

They say that insulated doors are a waste of money since a garage with a
concrete slab will only lose 5% of its heat through the doors as most will
escape through the slab. Any thoughts on this?
