Yeah, that is a major point of electric cars: no trips to the filling station. Unless you drive long distance, which most people dont. Neighbor had a Cmax for awhile with a 40 mile range. He drove it 37 miles wo work every day, plugged it in, and drove it home again after work. Never went to the gas station at all.
I like the 55gal drum idea.
